Lisa Burd is the North Lake Terminal Manager for Dousman Transport.

She started in 1997 as the Administrative Assistant and would fill in as a sub driver as needed. She moved on to becoming a CDL 3rd Party Tester and the Assistant Manager. In 2007 she became the Terminal Manager.

Ashley began driving a school bus in 2021 when her son was three, looking for a career that allowed her to work while still spending time with him. As her son grew and started school, she advanced from driver to driver trainer and substitute driver, eventually becoming an assistant manager. “I love working with all our amazing drivers and our schools, as each day is a new adventure!”

Delavan-Darien, Walworth and Williams Bay Schools

“I began my driving career with Dousman Transport in 2004, once all three of my kids were in school. It was a perfect fit, allowing me to bring my kids to and from work, and even catch their games or field trips—all while being one of the few parents lucky enough to get paid to cheer them on. In 2008, I transitioned into a role as a 3rd party tester for the company, where I proudly served for 14 years. After my youngest graduated high school, I considered stepping away, but my love for driving kept me on board. In 2023, I was given the opportunity to step into management, and, as they say, the rest is history.”

Jenny Nevala is the manager in Delavan. She has been with Dousman Transport since 2012. Jenny was a stay-at-home mom/homemaker before becoming a bus driver. She realized how bus driving and taking her kids to work meshed together so well.

“I have enjoyed learning and adapting the different facets of Dousman Transport from driving school buses, training drivers, stepping out in recruitment, working with our management team, and managing a terminal location. This job has been a blessing to me because of how it has worked with my family’s school schedule. I am able to take time off during the holidays, spring break, and during the summer.“

Tina Hansen brings more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry to her role as Operations Manager for Dousman Transport’s Jefferson location. Her background includes school bus transportation, motorcoach operations, driver training, safety instruction, routing, recruiting, and day-to-day transportation management.

Throughout her career, Tina has worked closely with school districts, drivers, students, families, and community partners. She is also a certified school bus instructor and has spent many years training and mentoring both new and experienced drivers.

She believes in leading by example, being willing to jump in wherever needed.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys traveling and planning adventures, spending time with her family- hubby, 6 kids, 2 grandsons, godson & god daughter, exploring new places, and creating memories along the way.

Kettle Moraine & Palmyra-Eagle Schools

Jessica Chelminiak is the Manager for Palmyra-Eagle & Kettle Moraine Schools located at our Dousman location. Jess has been in the bussing industry since 2011, and joined Dousman in July of 2019. Prior to the bussing world, Jessica worked as a dog groomer and in equine management.

“I knew when I left my former bus company due to a move, I would end up back in the bus world. When my husband and I bought our farm, I hopped on with Dousman Transport. Joining DTC was the best decision I have ever made. From kindergarten on, I rode DTC buses to Kettle Moraine Schools. To continue on in my life with a company that has been a staple in our area for so long has been an honor. The faces within these walls are the best part of the day. The team is a family and that makes going to work every day so easy! “

Tammie Ludtke is one of our Managers at our Lake Geneva terminal, which she took over in 2005. She is married and has four grown children that are her world. She loves camping, cornhole 😊 and just hanging out with family & friends.

Tammie has worked in the busing industry since 1989, starting as a part time school bus driver. In 1991 she went full time as an office administrator & driving bus, to where she is now.

Lake Geneva Area Schools

Tammie Ludtke is one of our Managers at our Lake Geneva terminal, which she took over in 2005. She is married and has four grown children that are her world. She loves camping, cornhole 😊 and just hanging out with family & friends.

Tammie has worked in the busing industry since 1989, starting as a part time school bus driver. In 1991 she went full time as an office administrator & driving bus, to where she is now.

Mukwonago Schools

Katrina Kyne is the terminal manager at our Mukwonago location. She started at Dousman Transport in 2017, serving as driver, trainer, and ambassador before transitioning to a manager in 2020. 

Katrina retired as a First Sergeant from the US army after 22 years as a construction Engineer. Katrina is a mother to 3 teenagers and 4 dogs.

Katrina says, ” I like working with the drivers and am very organized, this is a great job for people who are looking for work life balance.”

Hi, I’m Paula Heinowski and when I was much younger, I told the lady at Dousman Transport, driving a school bus was the last job I would want to do. That lady, who happens to be my mom, sure was right. It’s been 39 years and counting!

I started as a school bus driver, became a 3rd party tester, and now manage an amazing group of people out of our North Prairie location. I joined Dousman Transport in April 2024 to start a new chapter in my career and life. With over 20 years in the heavy-duty transportation industry at the dealership level, including experience in service management, this role has been a great opportunity to share my knowledge and strengthen our service team. Meet Paula Behling, the Manager at our Union Grove DTC Terminal. I have been in the transportation industry for 25 years. I enjoy working with all our Union Grove Area schools/daycares/UG Chamber/residents who we service. I enjoy seeing the students we have transported throughout my years, seeing how they all grow and mature into young adults. I have a wonderful outgoing team of drivers full of energy and cheerfulness. I enjoy seeing my team every day.

Virginia [Ginger] Boomfield is a terminal manager for Dousman Transport at our Waterford location. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has served in the customer service industry for over 30 years. Ginger began her journey with Dousman Transport in September of 2012 as a school bus driver.

“I knew from the moment I began driving with Dousman that it would be a forever relationship. The staff and employees are like family and there is a great sense of community here. We stand by the motto ~ We Transport the World’s Most Precious Cargo ~ working together to get the students transported to and from school each day safely. I love my position at Dousman Transport and wouldn’t trade my career for the world!

Waterford Schools

Virginia [Ginger] Boomfield is a terminal manager for Dousman Transport at our Waterford location. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has served in the customer service industry for over 30 years. Ginger began her journey with Dousman Transport in September of 2012 as a school bus driver.

I became a manager at the Wilmot location in 2021 and I love it. It allows me a good work life balance so that I can spend time with my husband of 26 years John. I enjoy problem solving and people, the bus drivers do so much good for the community, it makes me proud to be a Dousman manager. This job is a great way to bring in extra income and meet new people.
